Human Resources Coordinator

About This Role

This role involves providing leadership, guidance, and policy interpretation on employment issues to department managers, ensuring legal compliance, and overseeing human resources staff and operations for the State of Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, advice, guidance, policy interpretation, equal employment opportunity to Department managers on employment issues
• Provide direct supervision to Human Resources staff
• Provide strategic oversight, policy interpretation, and operational guidance to all HR offices across the department
• Represent the department with the Office of Administration and Governor’s Office initiatives
• Ensure effective coordination, operational integrity, and unified representation of the department at the executive level
• Participate in the development, implementation, and interpretation of new or revised program, Department, or legislative initiatives
• Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of Department and services performed
• Conduct investigations and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts; prepare and/or review reports and related information
• Ensure all employment practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Create and update compensation strategy through market analysis and pay surveys

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management, or equivalent
• 3-5 years' experience in increasingly responsible human resources management positions
• Advanced knowledge of human resource operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent in Human Resources, or Business Management
• 3-5 years of increasingly responsible management positions within Human Resources, with advanced knowledge of human resource operations
