Registered Nurse (RN) - OR CORE Ambulatory

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room, providing individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Ambulatory Operating Room. This role involves adhering to hospital objectives, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards.

Responsibilities

• Function as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room
• Organize and administer individualized, professional patient care to patients within the Operating Room
• Provide nursing care in accordance with objectives, policies, procedures, and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards
• Participate in patient teaching
• Incorporate the needs and behavior of the patient’s specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care
• Participate in quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Current active CT RN License
• Previous OR experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Independent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Previous OR experience required

Nice to Have

• BSN Preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
