This role involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication of patient conditions. The Registered Nurse will assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and delegate tasks to junior nursing staff, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to assess patients and identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel consistent with their level of education and expertise
- Participate in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
- Participate in activities for professional growth and development outside of patient care
Requirements
- Current CT RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing school
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing school
- PACU and/or ICU/ED experience preferred
Nice to Have
- BSN preferred
- PACU experience
- ICU/ED experience
