About This Role

Provide direct patient care to adolescent behavioral health patients, perform bio-psychosocial assessments, and develop nursing care plans. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide individualized care and achieve desired patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice
  • Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan
  • Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives, and interventions
  • Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conduct and/or co-lead group therapy sessions
  • Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives, and interventions appropriate to patient status changes
  • Perform appropriate assessments of patients per hospital policy and identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs
  • Develop and document a comprehensive plan of nursing care in collaboration with the patient and family
  • Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel, consistent with their level of education and expertise

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
  • Ability to manage out of control patients using MOAB training methods
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (CT), prior to hire
  • Certified BLS Provider (AHA or American Red Cross), within 2 Months (60 days) of hire

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
