Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals on the Ortho/Plastics Unit at Texas Health Fort Worth by utilizing the nursing process. This role involves assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care, particularly for those recovering from orthopedic and plastic surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Assess the patient
- Plan the care of the patient
- Intervene as appropriate to patient needs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
- Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during out-of-hospital transfers
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- CPI within 90 days of hire
- 1-year experience as a registered nurse required or completion of an RN Residency program
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing. BSN preferred
- 1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN Residency program

- Previous Med/surg RN or ER experience
