About This Role

Join our team as a full-time night shift Medical Surgical Unit 1 Registered Nurse at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights, TX, to provide direct and indirect patient care and ensure effective communication of patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care
• Develop nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicate changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate

Requirements

• Completion of required education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) with Texas Board of Nursing - OR - current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification through AHA is required upon hire
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information

Qualifications

• Completion of required education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Nice to Have

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Med/Surg hospital setting
• Experience with patient safety best practices
