Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

About This Role

Provide high-quality, safe, and cost-effective total nursing care to patients by coordinating and integrating patient care based on the nursing process. This role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care on a per shift basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control.
• Assume responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Perform and fulfill all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies and/or disasters.
• Know the Hospital’s emergency codes, including their purpose and appropriate action, and adhere to Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
• Provide direct clinical patient care.
• Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis and unit level.
• Supervise staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
• Support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Requirements

• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy
• Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school
• CPR certification

Qualifications

• Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
