Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

About This Role

This Registered Nurse position provides direct clinical patient care, assuming responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing care to assigned patients. The role involves supervising staff and ensuring high-quality, safe nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients
• Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control
• Assume responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime
• Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy
• Perform and fulfill all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster
• Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 1 year of RN experience
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession
• AHA BLS credential

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 1 year of RN experience for PRN status; recent acute care experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
• Recent acute care experience
