Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

About This Role

Assess the needs and maintain safety of patients before and during surgical procedures in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans. Provide leadership to the OR team and facilitate communication among all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of the surgical patient and develop a specific plan of care
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care during the procedure, making adjustments while prioritizing patient safety
• Supervise activity in the operating room
• Anticipate and coordinate any schedule changes for the room
• Assemble equipment and supplies
• Assist anesthesia as necessary
• Monitor sterile field
• Communicate with patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor/manager, and ancillary departments
• Participate in staff development by attending in-services, educational meetings, and staff meetings

Requirements

• 3+ Years of CVOR Experience
• Open Heart Experience

Qualifications

• 3+ Years of CVOR experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with General, Neuro, and Ortho cases
• Recent Travel Work History
