About This Role

This Registered Nurse role provides quality nursing services at Wellstar Health System, collaborating with a patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role involves fostering a positive and supportive environment while serving as an intermediary between patients, families, providers, and other care team members.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions
• Assist with care plans and take appropriate actions to promote patient outcomes and well-being
• Deliver care plans as outlined, applying independent judgment where appropriate
• Collaborate with and communicate patient care plans with other staff
• Prioritize and coordinate optimum daily patient flow and patient experience
• Deliver safe and effective care according to policies and procedures
• Maintain appropriate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, and education provided
• Listen to concerns, understand needs, and respond to patient needs in an appropriately timed manner
• Serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health-related issues
• Communicate necessary patient information to family, licensed care providers, and other staff
• Seek opportunities to improve the work environment and processes
• Maintain professional licenses and certifications and complete all required training
• Foster the growth and development of other nurses through mentorship and preceptorship

Requirements

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing
• BLS certification
• Valid RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact)

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
