Registered Nurse - Radiology

About This Role

Provide comprehensive patient care within the Radiology Department at Carolinas Medical Center, focusing on diagnostic and interventional imaging. This role involves managing patient preparation, moderate sedation, and recovery for a wide range of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
• Manage patient preparation, moderate sedation, and recovery for various procedures
• Oversee care across multiple modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, and PET

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• At least 6 months of RN experience
• Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
