About This Role

Implement age-specific care plans for patients, collaborating with healthcare team members to coordinate and implement treatments. Utilize leadership skills and clinical judgment to direct patient care activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient interviews, explain policies and procedures, and review patient charts
  • Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status, adjusting care as appropriate
  • Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition
  • Assess and manage patient pain levels
  • Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and plan of care
  • Identify patient outcomes and develop criteria for measurement
  • Coordinate the cost-effective use of supplies, equipment, and medication
  • Implement and revise patient care plans based on re-assessments
  • Administer prescribed treatments and use equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient's treatment, activity, and condition

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • 3+ years of PICU RN experience, preferred.
