Registered Nurse - PCU

About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position in PCU focuses on providing high-quality patient care, demonstrating leadership in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to professional nursing standards. The role involves effective medication administration, delegation, communication within the healthcare team, and utilization of computer systems for order entry and patient documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate effective medication administration to patients
• Delegate and supervise patient care activities appropriately
• Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team
• Utilize Health First computer systems for order entry, inquiry, and documentation
• Demonstrate effective and safe clinical practice
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care based on evidence-based practice
• Document all nursing care, changes in condition, response to therapy, treatments, procedures, and referrals
• Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and flexibility
• Use and care for equipment and supplies economically
• Provide patient, family, and/or caregiver education as directed by the plan of care

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement
• Current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card
• Ability to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in English

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required, BSN highly preferred.
• Must meet unit specific care requirements
