Registered Nurse IR

About This Role

Provide specialized nursing care in the Interventional Radiology Lab, delivering comprehensive services to both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Cardiovascular Lab, located on the 4th floor of the Pruyn Pavilion
• Participate in emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays
• Manage patient care related to angiograms, peripheral revascularization, hemodialysis catheter placement and maintenance
• Oversee nephrostomy drainage tubes and gastrostomy/jejunostomy tube care
• Perform central line placements and vascular access procedures including port placement and integrity checks
• Assist in pain management interventions, paracentesis/thoracentesis, and pre/post-care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
• Support carotid stenting procedures and other IR lab functions
• Utilize EMR systems Cerner and McKesson for patient documentation
• Adhere to hospital protocols including dress code (hospital-provided scrubs)

Requirements

• Current RN licensure with experience in Interventional Radiology nursing
• Proficiency in acute and outpatient care within cardiovascular or interventional radiology settings
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies
• Experience with vascular access, catheter placements, and patient monitoring
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Cerner, McKesson)
• Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination with proof
