The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care within the endoscopy unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients with a variety of needs following a person-centered care approach
- Effectively prioritize patient needs, including expected and unanticipated situations
- Demonstrate strong communication skills with healthcare professionals and patients
- Implement technical skills required for patient care with competence and resourcefulness
- Remain current with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and standards
- Evaluate the effectiveness of caregiving and ensure follow-through on delivery
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions and proactively addressing problems
- Execute compliant clinical documentation
- Assist with educating patients and families
- Serve as a resource on department standards for patient care
Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nursing License
Qualifications
- 1 year of Endoscopy RN preferred
Nice to Have
- 1 year of Endoscopy RN experience
