Manage patient care in a fast-paced endoscopy department, delivering safe and quality healthcare for patients undergoing GI/Pulmonary procedures and recovery. This role involves direct patient care, coordinating with caregivers, and supervising delegated tasks to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, caregivers, groups, and other providers.
- Deliver safe, quality health care either through direct care or by coordinating and supervising delegated tasks.
- Assist with GI/Pulmonary procedures and recovery of patients in the endoscopy department.
- Work collaboratively with a team and prioritize effectively.
- Provide abdominal pressure during procedures.
- Be available for varying shifts/start times, including possible rotating day/night/holiday call.
- Commit to working 80 hours per quarter, with hours not guaranteed.
- Remain beyond shift end to care for patients when necessary.
Requirements
- 3 years of nursing experience
- Experience in Endoscopy procedures
- IV insertion skills
- Administration of moderate sedation
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
- BLS certification
Qualifications
- Associate degree/Diploma in Nursing
- 3 years of nursing experience with required experience in Endoscopy procedures, IV insertion skills, and administration of moderate sedation.
Nice to Have
- Critical care experience
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles
- Computer Skills
- Current patient care technology/equipment knowledge
