Registered Nurse

About This Role

Administer life-saving and life-giving infusible and injectable drug therapies as a Registered Nurse at Paragon Infusion Centers, ensuring adherence to protocols and delivering patient education.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties within the Nurse’s scope of practice, facility policies, INS Standards of practice, and approved facility protocols
• Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures
• Complete admission process as directed by Center Director
• Perform physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis
• Refer to the NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed
• Document all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record
• Report all significant changes or observations to the NP on duty and follow up on identified problems
• Evaluate the patient’s response to therapy and document this finding in the medical record
• Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan
• Ensure that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment
• Understand and adhere to all applicable state, local and Federal laws and / or regulations including maintaining patient confidentiality through abiding by HIPAA laws/regulations

Requirements

• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Current unrestricted RN license in applicable state
• Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver (for Paragon and Carelon Health business unit)

Qualifications

• ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

• BSN preferred
• Port, PICC, and Peripheral Line experience
• Medication mixing experience
• Titration experience
• Medical insurance terminology knowledge
