Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath/EP Lab RN

About This Role

The Registered Professional Nurse provides patient-centered care within the Yale New Haven Health System, adhering to professional nursing standards and legal frameworks. This role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collect pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or situation (Assessment)
• Analyze assessment data to determine actual and potential diagnoses or issues (Diagnosis)
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation (Outcomes Identification)
• Develop and modify a plan of care that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes (Planning)
• Implement the identified plan
• Coordinate care delivery and transitions in care
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment (Health Teaching and Health Promotion)
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
• Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
• Cardiac RN experience
• ACLS Required
• On call requirements
• Must arrive on unit within 30min of emergency activation notification

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Cardiac RN experience required, Critical Care experience highly preferred.

Nice to Have

• BSN preferred
• Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
• Critical Care experience
