About This Role

The Registered Nurse Acute (RN) in Labor and Delivery provides holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care to patients and families within the Labor & Delivery unit. This role involves applying the nursing process, delegating, and supervising work, and is essential for delivering cutting-edge treatment at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families
• Apply the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice
• Function as clinically competent in practice
• Delegate and supervise work appropriately
• Report to the Unit Manager

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Minimum 1 year experience as an RN
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Qualifications

• ASN Required, BSN preferred (Graduate of an accredited nursing school)
• Minimum 1-3 years experience as RN, OB experience preferred

• Previous Labor & Delivery experience
• BSN degree
