The Registered Nurse Acute (RN) in Labor and Delivery provides holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care to patients and families within the Labor & Delivery unit. This role involves applying the nursing process, delegating, and supervising work, and is essential for delivering cutting-edge treatment at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families
- Apply the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice
- Function as clinically competent in practice
- Delegate and supervise work appropriately
- Report to the Unit Manager
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Minimum 1 year experience as an RN
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- ASN Required, BSN preferred (Graduate of an accredited nursing school)
- Minimum 1-3 years experience as RN, OB experience preferred
Nice to Have
- OB experience
- Previous Labor & Delivery experience
- BSN degree
