About This Role

This role involves providing holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients and families within the Labor & Delivery unit at Hartford Hospital. The Registered Nurse will apply the nursing process and function as a clinically competent professional, contributing to the organization's comprehensive healthcare network.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service or other primary area of practice with an awareness of the episode of care
• Apply the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice
• Function as clinically competent
• Delegate and supervise work appropriately

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Minimum 1-3 years experience as RN
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school ASN Required
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school ASN Required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 1-3 years experience as RN, OB experience preferred
