Registered Nurse - 4D Ortho/Neuro

About This Role

Provide specialized post-surgical and medical care as a Registered Nurse on the 4D Ortho/Neuro unit, focusing on patient-centered care and utilizing strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with a variety of needs
• Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care
• Effectively prioritize expected and unanticipated patient needs
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other healthcare professionals and patients
• Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of technical skills required for patient care
• Demonstrate initiative in remaining current in organization and department policies, procedures, and standards
• Evaluate effectiveness of care giving and show follow through on delivery
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions
• Proactively address actual and potential problems and execute compliant clinical documentation
• Assist with educating patients and families and serve as a resource on department standards for patient care

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license or eligible
• Must obtain BLS certification prior to completion of the introductory period
• Must obtain ACLS certification prior to completion of the introductory period
