Lead sales strategies and operations for the DePuy Synthes portfolio in a specific geographic area, driving customer and patient satisfaction while achieving sales goals. Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of sales professionals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets for DePuy Synthes sales in a defined geographic area
- Recruit, hire, and retain a diverse group of sales professionals, ensuring all territories are staffed with qualified individuals
- Provide ongoing performance management, mentorship, and career development to the sales team
- Drive business results by collaborating with consultants to set and achieve territory objectives and enhance patient care and customer satisfaction
- Assume a lead role in acquiring new accounts and surgeon relationships, assisting consultants in penetrating existing accounts with new technologies
- Lead a portfolio of products, responsible for sales, growth, and income targets to improve gross profits, profitability, asset management, and budget management
- Manage business expenses within the Region with fiscal responsibility
- Establish relationships with key surgeons, accounts, and associations to identify potential opportunities and drive collaboration
- Actively participate in compliance program-related activities, promoting integrity, ethics, and compliance
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or Finance
- 8+ years of relevant business and/or leadership experience
- 2+ years of management, coaching, or mentoring experience
- Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to lead through change
- Excellent listening, written & oral communication skills
- Good organizational skills and ability to make impactful sales presentations
- Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
- Strong customer understanding and ability to use data to drive buying process
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop field sales talent
- Track record of success in a complex organizational environment with enterprise mentality decision-making
- Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management along with documented sales achievement
- Valid driver's license issued in the United States
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or Finance
- At least 8 years of relevant business and/or leadership experience with a minimum of 2 years of management experience, coaching, or mentoring others
