Refrigeration Technician

Join a family-owned commercial refrigeration services company dedicated to employee well-being. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various commercial refrigeration products and systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service and repair products and systems, such as walk-in boxes, refrigeration systems remote and non-remote, ice machines, reach in coolers/freezers
• Read and interpret installation instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Measure and mark surfaces to ensure accurate installation
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations
• Test installed products or systems to ensure proper functioning
• Troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in commercial refrigeration
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Universal EPA certification
• Experience in HVAC/R
• Proficiency in working with various brands of refrigeration equipment (e.g., Manitowoc, Hoshizaki, Scotsman, Kolpak, Heatcraft, Beverage air, True)
• Knowledge of modern refrigerants (404a, 448A, 449A, 134a, 410A, R-22, R290)
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration units
• Operating tools, manifold, and other testing equipment for refrigeration equipment
• Reading and understanding wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Experience dealing with customers and subcontractors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial refrigeration
