Ramp Agent

About This Role

Safely and efficiently handle cargo and baggage for aircraft, operating motorized equipment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities
• Perform frequent bending, stretching, pushing/pulling, stacking, and kneeling in confined locations
• Operate motorized equipment
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags

Requirements

• Ability to comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously
• Proficiently speak, read, and write in English
• Current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required Airports and Custom badges/seals

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience
• Six months prior ramp agent work experience preferred, or high school diploma/GED.
