Perform radiology exams on patients as requested by physicians, ensuring optimal images and patient safety. Responsible for equipment preparation, documentation, and adhering to all regulatory standards in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist radiologists in performing Radiologic imaging procedures
- Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provide clinical documentation per scope of practice
- Perform with a high degree of safety and quality, preventing or reducing harm through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors
- Prepare equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care
- Follow ALARA principles according to policy
- Understand and adhere to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards and report variances
- Coordinate patient care and perform effective assessment, actions, and documentation
- Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services
Requirements
- Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiology (R) Upon Hire
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire
