Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various settings by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment, and providing patient care during exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in ambulatory or acute settings
- Position patients for imaging
- Operate diagnostic x-ray equipment
- Provide patient care during imaging exams
- Perform Radiologic examinations on identified patients according to department procedures and protocols
- Utilize assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce high quality images
- Perform fluoroscopic procedures as needed
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
- State of Connecticut Radiographer license
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
