Radiation Therapist

About This Role

Serve as a Staff Radiation Therapist within the Department of Radiation Oncology, performing radiation therapy and imaging procedures for the treatment of malignancies and pain. You will be responsible for accurate treatment delivery, quality assessment, and patient education while observing radiation safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiation therapy and imaging procedures for simulation and treatment of malignancies and pain
• Ensure accurate delivery of prescribed planned courses of radiation therapy
• Assist in treatment planning and maintenance of prescribed standards set by the Radiation Oncologist
• Reinforce advice and monitor patients for unusual reactions and events
• Observe radiation safety measures for patients and staff
• Provide patient education
• Participate in clinical education and clinical projects for the Medical Center's education and research missions
• Perform quality assessment activities for the Department of Radiation Oncology
• Assist in student teaching, oversight, and supervision as directed by the Radiation Therapy Manager

Requirements

• 2-Year College Degree or equivalent education/experience
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy Technology
• Licensed by the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Health in Radiation Therapy
• 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience

• 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience

Certifications
