Medical Technologist

About This Role

The Medical Technologist performs routine automated and manual procedures in a 24/7 oncology laboratory setting, handling patient specimens and test results.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine automated and manual procedures
• Verify and report test requests and results
• Handle phone inquiries regarding patient results, specimen collection, and testing frequency
• Review, report, and call critical values using the laboratory computer system
• Perform and document quality control, quality assurance, and preventative maintenance on instrumentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Med Lab Science or biological science degree
• MT/MLS certification required or obtain within 1 year of hire with first board attempt within six months
