MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Medical Technologist for a contract position in San Dimas, California. This role involves testing blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment to provide critical patient information.
Responsibilities
- Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment
- Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses or parasites
- Measure levels of drugs or other chemicals in the blood
- Analyze chemical content of blood to determine deficiencies or excesses
- Utilize cell counters, cultures, microscopes and other equipment
- Follow lab protocols for analyzing, interpreting and delivering test results
Requirements
- Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW or AAB
- Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience
- Basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures
- Ability to use laboratory equipment and generate reports from laboratory tests
