About This Role

Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment in a Progressive Care Unit. This role involves monitoring critical vital signs, detecting changes, and intervening in life-threatening or emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients who require close monitoring but not ICU care
  • Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information
  • Detect changes in patient status to enable intervention in life-threatening or emergency situations

Requirements

  • Active RN License
  • Degree from accredited nursing program
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting
