The Quality Program Coordination Lead establishes and monitors consistent commitment to standards to satisfy specific internal, regulatory or other requirements within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This role provides oversight for quality programs to achieve optimal quality of care and the highest level of patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, design, and maintain quality programs and ensure compliance with regulatory and other requirements
- Direct and coordinate mechanisms to identify and prioritize ongoing opportunities for improvement
- Collect, analyze, and report meaningful quality metrics
- Recommend and facilitate strategies for improvement, monitoring effectiveness and validating sustained improvement
- Provide training and education on quality programs
- Facilitate Ambulatory Quality Program activities, including review of key performance indicators and change management
- Use performance improvement and change management methods to support clinical quality initiatives and achieve organizational goals
- Leverage internal and external data sources for data-driven decision-making and quality improvement initiatives
- Direct activities that support compliance with voluntary, mandatory, and contractual reporting requirements
- Oversee activities to execute quality measure requirements and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related specialty or equivalent
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Expert knowledge of federal rules, external regulatory requirements, and regulations for TJC, CMS, ODH, and other healthcare accreditation bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
