Quality Control Lighting Coordinator

About This Role

The Quality Control Lighting Coordinator is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the proper functioning of concert lighting equipment before it is returned to stock or sent to customers. This role involves maintaining equipment, managing the QC process, and overseeing labor to ensure efficiency and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain concert lighting equipment to ensure excellent condition for future use.
• Manage the queue of lights for quality control, prioritizing and tracking units efficiently.
• Oversee the output of the QC team, ensuring high volume and adherence to company standards.
• Direct assigned labor for efficiency and accuracy in the quality control process.
• Collaborate with the Technical Services Department and Inventory team to maintain accurate QC records.
• Provide customer repairs and sales preparation support as needed.

Requirements

• Strong electrical and mechanical skills for equipment repair and maintenance.
• Experience with concert lighting systems and comprehensive knowledge of lighting equipment.
• Proficiency in using test equipment (e.g., multi-meters, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to clean lighting equipment including disassembling and reassembling parts.
• Capable of working safely with high-voltage electrical systems.
• Computer troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with soldering, wiring, and basic mechanical repair techniques.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in lighting repair related field
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting electronic and mechanical devices.
