IT Support Technician

About This Role

This IT Support Technician role is responsible for installing and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting PC and network issues, and providing technical support to staff. The position also involves developing reporting templates and integrating software to improve business processes.

Responsibilities

• Install hardware and software
• Maintain computer systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose PC and network issues
• Provide support for staff needing computer-related hardware/software support
• Help design, develop, and evaluate reporting dashboards in various BI platforms
• Help design and maintain API integrations with various business software
• Develop and maintain internal applications on low code programs (e.g., Power Apps, Retool)
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Entra and Azure
• Research, fix, and document all PC and Network issues
• Maintain printer fleet through repair, replacement, and vendor relationships
• Maintain network hardware through repair or replacement
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy best practices
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend innovations for operational excellence
• Assist operations in infrastructure build-outs (pulling/terminating network runs, installing phones, WAPs, cameras)
• Assist with the development and implementation of facilities automation systems
• Be available as needed to address IT emergencies and respond promptly to communications

Requirements

• Familiarity with SSMS, PowerApps, and Retool
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin environment (Entra, Azure)
• Ability to assist users with limited technical knowledge and translate complex concepts
• Proficient understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage systems)
• Exceptional hardware and software troubleshooting skills
• Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products
• Availability for on-call support for IT emergencies
• Comfortable in office and warehouse environments for IT equipment inspection, installation, and maintenance
• Physical ability to operate computer equipment and perform manual tasks (lift up to 50lbs, stand/walk for extended periods)
• Experience with inspecting and installing cables in challenging environments

Qualifications

• Degree or Certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of IT related work experience

Nice to Have

• Proficient in scripting languages for automation and system integration tasks
