Psychiatric Technician (Safety)

About This Role

Organize and provide basic general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric care to patients within a correctional health care setting, ensuring appropriate and timely health care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide a basic level of general nursing care to patients
• Organize and provide behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients
• Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients under RN delegation and clinical direction
• Provide support to the care team for daily health care operations
• Communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team
• Address the ongoing needs of patients
• Work with members of the larger health care team
• Promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources

Requirements

• Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the State of California, Consumer Affairs, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT)
