About This Role

This role involves providing basic general and psychiatric nursing care to patients within a correctional healthcare setting, ensuring appropriate and timely health services.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide a basic level of general nursing care to patients
• Organize and provide a basic level of behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients
• Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients in collaboration with the health care team
• Provide support to the care team for daily health care operations
• Communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team
• Address the ongoing needs of patients
• Work with members of the larger health care team
• Promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources

Requirements

• Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE
