Project Manager

About This Role

Manage capital projects within nuclear power plants, including modifications, upgrades, and equipment replacements. This role involves developing long-term project plans, managing resources, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take on capital project scopes of work including nuclear plant modifications/upgrades, equipment replacement, or facility upgrade related projects
• Create or revise long-term project plans
• Enhance project estimates
• Manage project resources
• Manage program related projects
• Support a large team of 32 people under the Director of Nuclear Projects
• Collaborate with the maintenance organization, engineering department, controls group, finance organization, senior leaders, internal supply department, and external vendors

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing projects of at least $1 million
• High level of knowledge of utility, power plant, and commercial nuclear power plant systems
• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

Qualifications

• ABET accredited Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Nuclear Engineering background is preferred
• 5+ years of experience including managing projects of at least $1 million

• ABET accredited Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Nuclear Engineering background
• Construction experience
• Finance background
• Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) - PMBOK Waterfall/Predictive project management techniques/processes
• Ex-Navy nuclear experience or previous utility/power plant experience
