Project Manager

About This Role

Lead the end-to-end delivery of water, stormwater, and wastewater projects for municipal and industrial clients. This role balances managing project scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations with fostering existing client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery end-to-end, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closeout of water/stormwater projects to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Manage financial performance by developing and overseeing budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and project controls to achieve revenue, profitability, and cash/AR objectives.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams and resources, aligning internal discipline leads and subconsultants, and managing project kickoff and recurring coordination to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Own client communication and satisfaction by serving as the primary point of contact, providing frequent status updates, resolving issues, managing expectations, and upholding Waggoner’s standard of care.
• Drive growth with existing clients by identifying and developing add-on/next-phase work, supporting proposal strategy and development, and contributing to account planning/CRM updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or closely related engineering discipline)
• Minimum of five years of experience
• Demonstrated project management experience delivering water/stormwater/wastewater projects (municipal and/or industrial), including scope, schedule, and budget ownership
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders, including coordinating discipline leads, subconsultants, and client counterparts
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or closely related engineering discipline).
• Minimum of five years of experience with demonstrated project management experience delivering water/stormwater/wastewater projects (municipal and/or industrial), including scope, schedule, and budget ownership.

Nice to Have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license (AL preferred; ability to obtain AL licensure if not currently held)
