Project Manager

About This Role

This Project Manager position directly supports the Installation Manager to ensure timely completion of commercial on-site refrigeration projects and customer satisfaction for new stores and store remodels.

Responsibilities

• Perform building surveys of HVAC and refrigeration equipment/controls and operational costs
• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors, including preparing requests for quotation
• Perform construction plan review to meet customer facility requirements
• Provide knowledge and consultation for developing facility-related solutions
• Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities for entire building system design/installation
• Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary and/or final proposals
• Handle all aspects of on-site field personnel management to ensure safety, quality, and timely production
• Create detailed cost estimates for controls, service agreements, materials, and labor
• Utilize plans, specifications, and industry knowledge to analyze project needs
• Estimate and price controls materials, services, and/or equipment for accuracy
• Plan and analyze allocated projects, develop schedules and set procedures
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and/or risk factors on various projects
• Clarify, reconcile, and adjust information gaps and scope deviations with operations group
• Maintain quote log of closed, open, and lost orders
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant project management experience with Bachelor’s Degree OR 8+ years with High School Diploma
• Strong leadership and business acumen
• Ability to manage small and large crews of construction professionals
• Strong working knowledge of applicable construction/safety federal, state, and county codes and regulations
• Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities/tasks in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of relevant project management experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years with a High School Diploma

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and/or commercial refrigeration and HVAC
