About This Role

The Program Director will coordinate and manage residential programs, supervising staff and working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This role involves overseeing program operations, staff development, and budget management to ensure high-quality, person-centered supports.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned group homes
  • Develop, maintain, and review Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs), or Individualized Program Plans (IPPs)
  • Partner with families, case managers, and other stakeholders
  • Manage household and individual budgets
  • Provide thorough, complete, and timely on-site orientation to new staff
  • Directly train employees in all areas of program implementation
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development of all employees
  • Complete employee evaluations, conduct investigations, and initiate disciplinary actions and terminations
  • Schedule and lead team meetings
  • Develop and implement employee schedules

Requirements

  • 2+ years managerial/supervisory experience (hiring, disciplining, terminating employees)
  • 1+ year of full-time direct experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • Successful background clearance
  • Reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance
  • Good decision-making, time management, and communication skills
  • Responsible, mature, and flexible

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science or related field
  • minimum 2 years managerial/supervisory experience and at least 1 year of full-time direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities
