Program Director

About This Role

The Program Director will oversee the daily operations, quality of care, and regulatory compliance of a General Residential Operation (GRO). This role involves providing leadership to ensure children and teens receive trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and child-centered services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall daily operation, quality of care, and regulatory compliance of a General Residential Operation (GRO)
• Provide leadership to ensure children and teens receive trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and child-centered services
• Collaborate with the team in planning, organizing, staffing, motivating, directing, and managing the agency's services
• Lead or support investigations into serious incidents or policy violations
• Ensure emergency preparedness plans are current and effectively implemented
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
• Monitor program budgets, expenditures, and resource allocations
• Participate in strategic planning, quality assurance, and program development efforts
• Ensure client goals and services align with their custom strengths, needs, and permanency plan
• Communicate regularly with the Executive Director regarding service status and new program development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• 2 years of full-time child care experience in a residential child care setting
• 1 year of management/supervisory experience of staff and programs
• Clear criminal background check, DFPS central registry check, and FBI fingerprinting
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, and behavioural intervention models

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• 2 years of full-time child care experience in a residential child care setting, including 1 year of management/supervisory experience of staff and programs.
