About This Role

This Production Supervisor role leads and motivates a production team, ensuring efficient department operations by enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to guarantee product quality and output.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and guide 7-9 team members to meet all daily targets including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Objectives, Goals, and Strategies
  • Identify and support continuous improvement activities in process efficiencies, costs, and productivity
  • Implement sustainable improvements and procedural changes to enhance department performance
  • Coach and develop colleagues by performing evaluations and accumulation of events in individual’s coaching diary
  • Use Root Cause Analysis to investigate operation errors and recommend corrective/preventative action where needed for a positive result
  • Motivate colleagues in maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the department
  • Ensure that batch record and log books are properly documented and all team members follow all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements, and procedures
  • Create a safe and positive work environment for all colleagues

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a Lead or Supervisory role
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior machine operator experience in a factory setting
  • Basic ability to read, write and speak English
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Knowledge of quality assurance protocols
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Comfortable using basic digital devices (computers, iPads, etc.)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand, climb, and bend in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years in a Lead or Supervisory role, with factory experience preferred
