Production Supervisor

About This Role

The Production Supervisor manufactures products by overseeing staff, organizing, and monitoring workflow. This role accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, and providing coaching and counseling to employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.
• Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, and monitoring personnel and resources.
• Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, and revising schedules.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.
• Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
• Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• 3+ years of people leadership experience
• Experience with controls and instrumentation
• Strong leadership capability
• Strong manufacturing knowledge (5S, Lean Manufacturing)
• Strategic planner

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or equivalent with trade school certification or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience and people leadership, plus experience with controls and instrumentation.
