Supervise production operations for a telecommunications engineering, repair, and logistics company. Coordinate worker activities, ensure production targets are met, and maintain quality standards while focusing on P&L results.
Responsibilities
- Supervise workers operating production machinery, assembling items, performing quality control, or packaging goods for shipment
- Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
- Meet or surpass daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations
- Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings to prepare the next shift for success
- Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift
- Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics
- Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved
- Engage in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment
- Assist in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling
- Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required
- Coordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure sufficient inventory and staffing levels
- Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and processes
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Requirements
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of leadership experience
Nice to Have
- Materials/distribution environment leadership experience
- Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service or forward logistics operation
- Supervising temporary staff
- Experience working with UKG and Kronos
- General knowledge of OSHA Standards
