This position is responsible for the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met in compliance with all legal and food safety requirements. The role involves managing production lines, reporting quality defects, and maintaining cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily activities of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara’s safety, quality, and throughput standards.
- Accurately complete applicable quality and production reports hourly and physically/visually inspect products to prevent non-conforming goods.
- Report all quality defects correctly to appropriate team members and shift leadership.
- Adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Abide by Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
- Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional assigned areas.
- Maintain appropriate level of raw materials to minimize production line downtime.
- Work in all assigned areas of production, troubleshoot minor issues, and perform relief duties.
- Work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or as dictated by production demand.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry-level experience (0 years) in a manufacturing environment is required.
Nice to Have
- Associate's Degree
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
