Production Operator

About This Role

The Production Operator is responsible for maintaining safety standards, operating production equipment, performing first-level maintenance, and ensuring product quality while actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Understand and ensure safety standards are respected, adhering to V5000, TS16949, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Nevada OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC methodology
• Understand and follow safety working instructions, PPE requirements, conduct first-level maintenance (PM’s), and perform first piece inspection at the start of the shift
• Maintain 5S rules for workplace organization
• Understand flexibility and multiskilling requirements in Autonomous Production Zones (APZ) and check display visual requirements for accuracy
• Detect problems including deviations from standards in safety, quality, and efficiency
• Stop work and apply appropriate reactivity procedures when a problem is detected
• Participate in immediate containment actions
• Actively participate in the improvements proposal program
• Participate in 5-minute meetings in APZ
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of each workstation
• Communicate any supplies shortage to the team lead at the beginning, during, and after shifts
• Be involved in APZ continuous improvement through participation in VPS workshops
• Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds on a daily basis
