About This Role

Operate production equipment and monitor processes in a chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves material handling, troubleshooting, and collaboration to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Work under direct supervision of Leadhand to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Interact with equipment and control panels during manufacturing process
  • Monitor machine settings to reduce downtime and scrap
  • Operate process equipment such as rolls, pumps, mixers, dryers, control panels
  • Troubleshoot production problems and issues
  • Perform In-Process Checks using instrumentation and lab equipment
  • Monitor processes and inform Leadhand of any changes
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished products
  • Operate a roll clamp or forklift to load and unload materials
  • Collaborate with management and Leadhand to meet production, maintenance, and shipping schedules
  • Participate in the Joint Health and Safety Committee and report safety issues
  • Follow all site rules and procedures for quality, health, safety, and environment
  • Respond to alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinate corrective actions
  • Ensure work areas and equipment remain clean and free of debris
  • Drive a clamp truck and/or forklift

Requirements

  • High School Diploma OR GED OR 4+ years of industrial manufacturing experience
  • Basic math skills including use of calculator and tape measure
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts (Days/Nights/Evenings)
  • Adherence to Health and Safety Guidelines and wearing required PPE
  • Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment (lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, stoop, rotate, climb stairs)
  • Willingness to work around chemicals and industrial environment during continuous operations
  • Basic computer skills

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma OR GED
  • Entry level, or 4+ years of industrial manufacturing experience

Nice to Have

  • Forklift experience (must be able to become certified)
  • Analytical and mechanical mindset
