Product Packer

About This Role

This role is responsible for packing high-quality frozen egg products according to customer specifications, monitoring and addressing defective products to ensure quality. The position contributes to providing safe and high-quality food products to customers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Sort and pack frozen egg products according to customer specifications, maintaining pace with machinery and conveyor system
• Read scales and check case weights to ensure adherence to customer specifications
• Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. safely
• Collaborate in teams to prevent conveyor system backups and product jamming
• Work at conveyor lines near the ovens, preparing egg patties and omelets for freezing
• Rotate to different positions during the shift to cover various tasks
• Determine if products meet proper specifications and take corrective action as needed
• Assist in maintaining general good housekeeping of the work area
• Adhere to safe work practices, GMP and HACCP guidelines, and maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality and SQF certification

Requirements

• No prior experience or training
• Ability to travel stairs
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, including units of weight, volume, and distance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and withstand constant motion

Nice to Have

• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 30 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors, standing on hard surfaces, in changing temperatures (45-90 degrees F)
• Ability to rotate to different stations in packaging area and near ovens
• Basic math and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety regulations, and wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
