Procurement Specialist

About This Role

This Procurement Specialist role supports a cement plant's operations by implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating the procurement of essential goods and services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of local goods, services, and contracts
• Build strong relationships with operations to anticipate procurement needs
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and track procurement results
• Ensure procurement policies and procedures are followed
• Support plant operations with equipment and parts sourcing
• Promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment

Requirements

• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
• Experience with strategic sourcing, category management, or operations procurement
• Ability to write procurement contracts
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Strong computer and analytical skills
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles

Nice to Have

• SAP experience
