About This Role

Lead night shift maintenance operations at a quarry, overseeing a team of mechanics and performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of mechanics to ensure safe and efficient plant operations
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, trucks, and other quarry machinery
  • Oversee major equipment repairs to minimize downtime
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory usage
  • Prepare, weld, and fabricate steel and aluminum components as required
  • Conduct regular inspections and report findings to the Area Manager
  • Maintain shop, tools, vehicles, and other repair equipment
  • Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety or operational concerns
  • Stay updated on new technologies and maintenance practices to improve efficiency

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or quarry maintenance
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and repairing electrical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to comply with PPE and respirator safety requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or quarry maintenance

Nice to Have

  • Technical certification or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field
  • Proven experience leading a team of mechanics
