Prep Cook

About This Role

This role is responsible for preparing and cooking food items in a fast-casual setting to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize food revenues at PNC Music Pavilion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Direct, implement, and maintain a guest service philosophy
• Review assignments, business levels, and changes with supervision
• Ensure the highest quality product is served to guests
• Maintain and abide by County Health/Sanitation and Legends Hospitality standards
• Provide efficient service and quality products through effective communication and prudent financial practices
• Ensure all equipment is in proper operational condition and cleaned regularly
• Rotate to other service locations when necessary

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Culinary degree or certified apprenticeship program
• 2-3 years cooking experience in contract foodservice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
• Strong commitment to high-level customer and client service
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to interact with all levels of management
• Flexibility to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a team environment
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to make evaluations and decisions without immediate supervision
• Ability to accept and carry out responsibility for directions
• Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or graduated from a certified apprenticeship program
• Minimum of 2-3 years of cooking experience in the contract foodservice industry, preferably in premium services, catering, and concessions environments for a sports and/or entertainment venue
